With a population of under 12,000 people, you can’t mistake Damascus, Oregon for a big city. Indeed, most folks here love that Damascus is a small, safe, and quiet town. Of course, they also enjoy the fact that you can get outstanding craft beer at the country store. (And the country store doubles as a beer garden with a built-in growler station. Nice!)
Located 30 minutes southeast of Portland, Damascus is inside the Portland metro area. And the folks who live here can easily enjoy Portland’s many amenities and attractions. But then again, Damascus has plenty of its own attractions and perks.
For example, our lovely lavender farm, the Bigfoot Center, and the llama ranch are super fun for the kids. In addition, there are parks everywhere you look. You can get out on the many miles of biking, hiking, and horseback riding trails. In short, Damascus is the perfect combination of small-town life with big-time opportunities. (And Portland right down the road!)
Damascus, Oregon Self-Storage From Northwest
Our Damascus, Oregon self-storage center is at 14613 SE Old Barn Lane. It’s right in the center of town, right off Route 212. So there are plenty of places to eat, shop, and throw back a local craft beer nearby. That includes Pub 212 right down the street, where they have some of the tastiest brews in town.
If you need some food or a snack, plenty of options are nearby. Dairy Queen, for example, Sparky’s Pizza, and Don Pedro Taqueria #2 are all excellent choices. For groceries, Safeway is your best choice and is two minutes away. Also, the Damascus Christian School is across the street from our Damascus self-storage. (It’s highly rated.) Lastly, if you need to stretch, take a walk, and clear your head, head to Damascus Centennial Park.

Like many other towns and cities in Oregon, the weather in Damascus will likely surprise you. That’s because, in summer, it’s simply gorgeous! Temperatures in the mid-80s with very little or no humidity are the norm in Damascus, OR. We think you’ll agree, that’s practically perfect summer weather. Even better, it lasts from the end of May through September!
