The customer service is awesome, and I was stoked on the price. I've gotta one of the smallest size, if not second to the smallest, and I'm only paying like $32 a month. There are a few downfalls though, starting with the elevator. It's an old industrial type- of elevator-I never would have guessed they're still in use- and getting it to move is burdensome, along with the wait time. And there's no way of knowing which floor its on or anything other than that it's in use. More times than not I've had to haul my belongings up and down the stairs, which lack even a guardrail. You also get to use your own lock, which is cool if you have access to a decent one. If not, I'd buy one beforehand. There's no security, and it'd be easy to sneak in some bolt cutters and ransack a storage before anyone was none the wiser. Also, you have only business hours to access your stuff. But, the price is right.

I rented a storage space while I looked for an art studio space. The storage unit was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Thank you!

Portland Storage is a beautiful old Portland Building located in the Central Eastside District. The staff are helpful, respectful, and obviously care about their customers and the building. I’ve had a very positive experience renting here and have rented storage for large scale paintings on and off for the last decade. I’m happy to have a creative space here now. I highly recommend working with Portland Storage and a big shout out for above and beyond good customer service from Daniel, Eric, and Tom.

Neat old storage building with different floor plans that are roughed in but complete rooms. Only issues are elevator is shut off at 5:30pm and the place closes at 11pm

Staff here was beyond helpful when dealing my with my moving van rental. They're flexible and wil absolutely work with you. I cannot recommend these guys enough.

I really like this place and would have given 5 stars except the only thing I would change is longer hours open and having some light in the storage rooms, besides that I'm happy and everyone I've met there is very nice and willing to help

This is my favorite storage experience ever. The giant historic brick building, the sexy as hell freight elevator, the random artists and craftspeople that populate this place. Staff is nice. space is fine. The bathroom is helpful.

We’ve had a unit here since 2016 and the team has helped us shift and downsize our units showing us multiple options and always answering questions in a friendly personable and professional manner. Any billing questions are handled immediately. Thanks to James and his team for being such a wonderful example of great customer service!

Quirky place but gave straight answers with no BS.

Nice place.but be aware you can not access this storage or your unit after 6 o'clock. If your like me and work till 5.30 you well have less than half an hour to get their and get to your unit. I was told you have till 10 but policy has changed.

Pretty sweet deal for storage! Close in SE location, friendly helpful staff, funky Portland vibe, and great deals. I wasn't able to find a better deal for the size of storage unit I needed and location. Definitely an older building, but it's not damp or mildewed so I feel comfortable storing my belongings here. I needed to upgrade to a larger unit and was able to move down the hall the same day. They also have artists studios on the top floor which I just find to be a cool addition :) Check them out!

Genuinely helpful and friendly staff. Very reasonable prices, often with additional deals and discounts. Come prepared to wait 15 mins for the massive, ancient freight elevator and you'll have a great self-storage experience.

I pay 3+ months in advance and love the service here.

Great place to store things. Loading dock for easy access. Giant freight elevator makes moving stuff very easy. Most units are very dark inside. Relatively clean for a storage facility. Wendy is awesome

Minutes away from downtown Portland, super friendly staff. I booked a large unit to empty out a 18-wheeler trailer into and thanks to the large elevator and loading dock it took less than 3 hours to do it. All the while bouncing back and forth between the new condo in downtown Portland took 7 minutes each way (Super Convenient Location). Wendy at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. I would totally recommend this storage facility to anyone.

Awesome service, thanks Zach! I came in to view a 4x5 space to move in stuff that day. Zach wrote down a couple other units just in case as well. We checked out out and it was a little large for me so we found something smaller. He did a great job showing me around and how to operate the elevator. My only concern with this place is that you can see what's in units by peaking through the door crack. I used paper to cover it. I'm sure it's safe, but I don't like people knowing what's in what unit.

Great value for the size Fast, clean and friendly. So the elevator is slow. Big deal. Just make sure it is closed behind you or it won't work for someone else.

Overall, everything was pretty average. The freight elevator at this facility is hard to operate and very slow. For this reason, I will not use this facility for future storage needs.

OK experience, but might not be the best. Positives: -Free moving truck was in good condition and far better than that of Uhaul/Budget. -Nice covered loading dock. Negatives: -Sparefoot advertised our storage unit as being on the 1st floor. Only a basement and 4th floor unit were available. -Clerk was not able to process storage unit paperwork for 30 minutes due to issues processing from squarefoot reservation. She ended up having to restart the reservation process from scratch, but it took a while on a fairly busy move-in day. -Suspiciously yellow liquid in large gatorade bottle outside storage unit leads me to wonder if people are living in their storage units.

Wendy and Ellen made my experience at Portland Storage Company incredible. I talked to so many companies and was impressed with them. Super friendly, and went out of their way to accommodate me. But it went past them getting the first check. They just are that way. Fair pricing, great intro rate, clean facility, no smell, nice docks and ramp, ample carts, 24 hour call center, and a massive elevator for moving. There is no way to beat this place. And to the owners........you have gems in Wendy and Ellen. And no, I am not their friend or relative. Just a super satisfied customer! I rarely take the time to write these but they deserve it. If you need a storage facility be sure to put this one on your short list and go check it out.

They took a really long time to get me registered, and then forgot to give me the keys or explain how the elevator and stairs worked. But they were very friendly, and the facility itself seems just fine. I'm slightly concerned that the walls don't go all the way up; if somebody really wanted to, they could break from one unit into the next.

Good online rates, semi-difficult to locate I got a free lock. Make sure you are moving in with time to spare before closing, for after hours, you will be paying the wages in the form of fees. Not 24hr/access. Staff was friendly (if you are friendly).
