We’re always honored when customers choose Northwest Self Storage to store their extra items, and we know it’s our duty to help keep it safe. That’s why all of our facilities have an onsite manager who keeps an eye on everything – and many even live on-site. Several of our locations also feature 24-hour surveillance and gated access, as well as individual door alarms and even a security patrol.

Our fully fenced, well-lit facilities keep out potential intruders, yet provide you convenient access outside of normal business hours. Select locations offer tenant insurance as added protection against theft or damage.

Why is Storage Security Important?

No matter what you are storing, it is valuable to you in some way. Sometimes that value is intangible, like photographs or handed-down tokens, and those are just irreplaceable. Storing with security in mind is the first step to ensuring your items stay exactly where you left them. Together, your efforts and ours will work to keep everyone’s stuff safe.

Quick Security Tips

  • Purchase a quality lock for your storage unit, like a high-end disc lock or cylinder lock. We have them for sale in our offices.
  • Double check that it is locked each time you visit your unit
  • Avoid storing high-dollar items in facilities that don’t have added security measures
  • If you must store valuables, place them in the very back of your unit
  • Limit the number of people who use your unique gate access code
  • For additional security, select an indoor unit
