Q: How does your billing cycle work?
A: Upon move in, we pro-rate your first month's rent so that subsequent payments will be due on the 1st of the month. We do not send statements. We will give you a reminder call after the 1st if we haven't received payment.
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: We accept cash, check, Visa, MasterCard or Discover. We have an automatic credit card payment plan available. You can sign up for this at anytime and there is no extra charge. Most facilities have a drop box for checks after hours. Please do not put cash in the drop box for your protection and ours.
Q. Will I receive a refund?
A: We require a written 30-day notice. A refund will be made for any paid days beyond those 30 days. Refunds are made within 30 days of your actual vacate date by check from our main office.
Q: Will my rate increase?
A: We try our hardest to limit the frequency of increases. You are guaranteed a fixed rate for six months. If the economy or market causes a rise in our expenses, you may incur a minimal increase to your rental rate.
Q: When can I access my unit?
A: Most facilities offer access to your unit from 7am to 9pm, 365 days a year. Please visit your facility's webpage to confirm access hours.
Q: Are my goods insured?
A: As stated in your lease, we don't carry insurance on your goods. We have brochures available with information on insurance coverage for your goods.
Q: I lost the keys to my lock. How do I open it?
A: We do not have spare keys to anyone's lock, nor can we cut the lock for you. Unfortunately, you will either have to call a locksmith, or cut the lock off yourself. In the event that you choose to cut the lock yourself, let the manager know so they can be a witness to this. You may also sign a release form at the time of move-in, and leave a spare key with the manager. This release allows us to use the key anytime you instruct us to do so.
Q: I received a free lock when I moved in. Should I leave this on my unit when I move out?
A: If the facility you rent from issued you a free lock when you moved in, this is our gift to you. Please do not leave the lock on the unit. We do not have keys to anyone's lock, therefore, if we see that a lock is still on the unit, we naturally assume that you are still occupying the unit. We thank you for taking the lock off and leaving the unit clean.
